Who is your hero?
About Jessica Strike
Jessica Strike joined the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt in 2013 as personal assistant to the chairman of the board before moving into the program area. Since she likes to analyze and has never gotten over the fact that she did not study psychology, she has also been involved in the Human Ressources department since January 2017.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Jessica worked in the cultural sector, organizing conferences, matinées, and festivals for theaters, museums, publishing companies, and various art institutions across Germany. Her then-employer, the Büro für Kultur und Konzept in Potsdam, also counted several foundations among its clients – which is how Jessica got to know the BMW Foundation and said goodbye to the cultural sector.
While still a student, Jessica gained professional experience in a Chilean social project, a small-town cultural affairs department, and several publishing companies. After graduating from the master’s program in Applied Literary Studies at Freie Universität Berlin in 2011, she completed a traineeship in public relations in Potsdam.
Jessica loves to travel, has a soft spot for Austrian literature, and suffers from acute anthropomorphism. Born in South Africa and raised in the Westerwald, she is a long-time resident of Berlin and is still looking for an apartment with a balcony.
