About Kathrin Legrand
Kathrin Legrand is in charge of finance and human resources at the Munich office of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt. Previously, she spent ten years abroad, gaining international experiences and broadening her intercultural horizons as a foreign language teacher at different schools in France and as a project and team leader in the publishing sector in the Netherlands. Back in Germany, she immersed herself in the world of (social) start-ups, as a staff member of the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship in Munich.
Since her youth, Kathrin’s focus has been on cooperation and collaboration. “Caring and getting involved” is her motto – which is why she, among other things, has coached youth volleyball teams. She also passionately pursued her studies all the way to the second state examination and earned a master’s on top. In her spare time, she continues to volunteer for school and sports activities.
A native of Kiel, Kathrin Legrand now lives with her husband and her two boys in Munich. Luckily, the city that offers plenty of sports opportunities: swimming, running – and rooting for FC Bayern München, if she is not cheering for the THW Kiel handball club. Kathrin is an avid reader of feminist literature and very much appreciates the French savoir vivre.
