Through collaboration with key global partners, such as the UNFCCC, the Energy Resilience Leadership Group, and the Columbia Center for Global Energy Policy, the Foundation is committed to fostering forward-looking dialogue that balances economic competitiveness with climate action.Please note: Our panel at UNFCCC Pavilion is open to all visitors registered for the Blue Zone. Wednesday, 13 November, 10:30 am - 12 pm,Invitation Only In collaboration with the Columbia Center for Global Energy Policy, this roundtable will address the role of trade policy in the context of green industrial policies and climate clubs.As major economies implement policies to support domestic green industries, the potential for trade fragmentation grows. This session will explore how global trade systems can adapt to these new policies, fostering international cooperation and minimizing conflicts, while supporting the clean energy transition.

Wednesday, 13 November, 3 pm - 4 pm,UNFCCC Pavilion (Blue Zone) The global energy transition, driven by the urgent need to combat climate change, is reshaping the world. This transformation comes with complex challenges:

  • How do we ensure the transition is swift, efficient, and fair across different regions?
  • How can we balance global competition with the need for cooperation to scale up clean technology and ensure a fair transition for all?
This panel will explore how governments, industries, and global organizations can navigate the risks of protectionism while leveraging competition to spur innovation and investment. The goal is to ensure economic resilience and sustainability during the clean energy transition.
