    BMW Foundation Global Table

Building the Code for Resilient Societies

At a time when digitalization is rapidly transforming societies, the BMW Foundation Global Table in Marseille, France, will allow leaders to gather and reflect upon their role in shaping digitalization inclusively – that is, without reproducing elitist structures but rather for the benefit of all.

We at the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt believe that the individual commitment of people in positions of responsibility can play a major role in advancing positive social change, in accordance with the UN 2030 Agenda. By promoting Responsible Leadership at the global level, we contribute to personal and systemic development towards a peaceful, just, and sustainable future. To this end, we create spaces like the Global Table where leaders from government, business, and civil society, as well as academia and the arts, can inspire each other to take their commitment to the next level.

We live in an age of high connectivity, where change happens at lightning speed. Every day around the globe, leaders are making far-reaching decisions that shape the future. It’s time to reflect on how we assume responsibility, how we lead, and how we can collectively create a better tomorrow. Together with 40 leaders from all sectors and from around the globe, participants will have the opportunity to share and expand their expertise and knowledge.

    BMW Foundation European Table

    Migration, Security and European Citizens

Migration is one of the three main security concerns of European citizens, besides terrorism and extremism. Across Europe, populist politicians are polarizing societies and spreading fear among citizens. Tensions between the EU countries are rising.

At the European Table in Neuville-Bosc, we want to analyze how the EU can make its citizens feel more secure and what role national governments and civil societies can play in this process. Together with leaders from business, politics, and civil society, we will explore migration not as a security threat but as an opportunity for economic and cultural prosperity. Finally, we want to encourage participants to take concrete initiatives to support this process.
