    World Responsible Leaders Forum

    6th World Responsible Leaders Forum

Through the World Responsible Leaders Forum, we endeavor to offer a space in which the members of our Responsible Leaders Network can forge and strengthen connections, using their skills, knowledge, and empathy to reflect upon Responsible Leadership and how they can contribute to the UN 2030 Agenda. The Forum provides an opportunity to connect and reconnect with each other and to experience the power of the Responsible Leaders Network.

As venue for this year’s Forum, we have chosen Mérida in the Yucatan Peninsula, the center of the Americas. The region, formerly inhabited by the Maya civilization, offers a rich and complex history but, more importantly, is home to a thriving, diverse society facing today’s challenges and forging creative solutions. We are confident that this environment will inspire a powerful exchange among our Responsible Leaders from all over the world.

    Regional Network Activities

    Network Driver Retreat

Once a year, we bring together the Network Drivers of our Responsible Leaders Network to look back on the worldwide activities of the past year and plan the next steps for the global as well as regional networks. The meeting presents an opportunity to assess the need of the different regions and compare experiences. Representatives of the foundation are there to offer tools and support to guarantee a sustainable growth of the network.

This year, the meeting will take place in Sinal do Vale, a pristine location in the middle of nature near Rio de Janeiro.

    Responsible Leaders Forum

    Responsible Leaders Forum Latin America

Through our work in Latin America during the last five years, the Responsible Leaders Network in the region has grown to 100 members, and we have established partnerships with 40 organizations in 13 countries. We want to further strengthen and expand this network through our Responsible Leaders Forum in Chile. Therefore, we have invited leaders from around the world to experience tools for leadership in Latin America and explore the potential of the Sustainable Development Goals for responsible leadership. The Forum will put each participant’s personality, skills, and creativity center stage and by doing so create an environment for mutual learning and networking. Furthermore, we are partnering with the International Festival of Social Innovation (fiiS) that will take place prior to the Forum and provide an opportunity to get to know innovators from all over Latin America.

Responsibility, Trust and Reconciliation in Post-Conflict Societies

The 9th BMW Foundation Global Table, to be held in Bogota, Colombia, in partnership with the Auschwitz Institute for Peace and Reconciliation, seeks to examine factors that are important to lead post-conflict societies into a peaceful future. It facilitates an open dialogue to develop frameworks for collaboration between local, regional, national, and international actors. It explores possibilities for reconciling former conflict parties, taking responsibility for committed atrocities and government failure, and building trust in each other and the state.
