Will Europe Succeed in Assuming Responsible Leadership in a Bipolar World?

The two leading powers, the United States and China, dominate the emerging bipolar world order – what role remains for Europe? Urgent questions need to be solved by the new EU Commission: Does Europe have the power and strength to assume a leading global role? Can the EU develop a common foreign and security policy necessary for this purpose? In what economic areas does the EU have to make progress in integration in order to play a stronger role globally? And how can Europe’s citizens contribute to this process?

We have invited three experts to discuss these issues as part of our Global Talk series: Prof. Dr. Carlo Masala, Professor of International Relations at the Bundeswehr University Munich; Ralph Freund, Vice President of Republicans Overseas Germany; and Thomas Wu, Senior Advisor & Partner at Falcon Group, Switzerland.
