Who is your hero?
The sun after a long Berlin winter
About Celia Soltek
Celia Soltek has been working at the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt since January 2018, primarily planning and organizing European Tables and Responsible Leaders Forums. Dealing with topics she has been interested in since her studies, she is now able to explore them in the context of current challenges: How do we create a good Europe for all, and what role can the different stakeholders play in shaping social processes?
She studied political science with a focus on international and European politics, public and European law in Münster, Lille, Enschede, and Berlin. During her studies, she supported the German Scholars Organization in developing a Leadership Academy and gained first experiences in measuring the impact of nonprofit organizations.
At the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, she organized European policy discussion formats with members of the European Parliament; and at the Berlin office of the Robert Bosch Foundation, she learned the basics of what foundations do – from data administration to online communication to project management and program development. Celia loves to tackle new questions conceptually and from a goal-oriented perspective.
Celia is a member of the Junger Kammerchor (Young Chamber Choir) Berlin and has been known to hum along if she is in a good mood. In her spare time, she loves the outdoors and is a passionate hiker, or else explores cities and visits art museums. Born in Cologne, she misses the cathedral and the Rhine, but has quite taken to the capital. Nevertheless, she regularly returns to the Rhineland to visit family and friends – not just during the carnival season!
