About Sarah Braig
Sarah joined the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt in October 2015. Initially, she served a dual role as team assistant and event organizer before committing herself fully to organizing the global event formats of the Foundation. Since 2018, she has also been instrumental in the conception and organization of the Transatlantic Core Group.
Already for her bachelor’s degree, Sarah went abroad to study European Studies in Maastricht, Netherlands. Her interest in different countries and cultures made her spend a semester abroad in Hong Kong and later enroll in a master’s program in Intercultural Conflict Studies.
Topics such as migration, human rights, and the peaceful coexistence of different cultures are dear to Sarah’s heart. This is why she worked previously for Amnesty International Germany in the field of Campaigns and Public Relations, where she was responsible for a nation-wide Amnesty International informational tour and the International Day of Human Rights. She also helped refugees deal with the registration process at the Berlin Regional Office for Health and Social Affairs, first as a volunteer and later for Caritas Berlin.
A native of Berlin, Sarah loves her city and its diversity. She prefers to spend her days off in the outdoors – which is why she sometimes wishes Berlin was in Italy.
