Stefan Quandt, born in 1966 in Frankfurt am Main, is a business engineer and a member of the Supervisory Board of BMW AG. He has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt since 1998.
He graduated from the Technical University of Karlsruhe with a diploma (master’s degree) in business engineering in 1993. After a stint with The Boston Consulting Group, he worked in cost accounting and corporate accounting at Datacard Corporation in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and later as Marketing Manager at Datacard Asia Pacific Ltd. in Hong Kong.
Since 1996, Stefan Quandt has been active as an entrepreneur. Since 1997, he has also been a member of the Supervisory Board of BMW AG. In addition, he serves on various boards of family-owned companies, including as chairman of the Supervisory Board of DELTON AG and as a member of the Board of Directors of Datacard Corporation, Minneapolis. Stefan Quandt is also vice chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Johanna Quandt Foundation and member of the Supervisory Board of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
