Meet the BMW Foundation Team

The BMW Foundation team is made up of around 60 members, based in our offices in Munich and Berlin. Our team comes from various backgrounds be it professional, cultural, or geographical.

Meet the Team
  • Vision: Being visionary means that we dare to hope. We use our collective imagination as a tool to be creative and innovative. We dream big, take risks, and launch bold ideas.
  • Kindness: We acknowledge our interdependence with other people and living beings and the responsibility we have to care for one another. We direct our efforts and intent toward people, community, and planet with respect, generosity, and clarity.
  • Dignity: We welcome and respect differences in personalities, identities, and perspectives, and we commit to creating environments where these differences can thrive.
  • Pragmatism: We keep it real, and we use our strategies and methodologies to work efficiently, effectively, and coherently.
  • Trust: We believe that the key to impactful collaboration is to first build relationships deeply rooted in trust rather than transaction. We value these relationships as an end in themselves, rather than a means.

What we offer
Remote Work AllowanceWorking together in-person at our Berlin and Munich offices is key to the people-centered work we do, but we also provide up to 30 days per year to work remotely within EU/EEA countries.
Deutschland-Job-TicketWe value sustainability. That’s why we encourage our team to use public transportation and offer 70% cost coverage of the Deutschland-Job-Ticket, valid throughout Germany on all local public transport.
Multicultural TeamOur team enjoys a multicultural environment that is diverse and international. Our working languages are English and German, but our team members also speak French, Spanish, Arabic, Sign Language, and more.
30 Vacation DaysWe offer 30 paid vacation days as our standard in addition to paid public holidays — about 10 to 13 days, which differ slightly based on where you’re located.
SabbaticalsAfter two years of employment, our staff have the opportunity to take a sabbatical. Each sabbatical arrangement is custom to the individual, but can take place up to one year.
WellpassWe offer a Wellpass gym membership with 70% of the cost covered by the Foundation. It works in partnership with providers in metropolitan, suburban, and rural areas so that everyone can use it to its fullest.

"What inspires me most at my job is working in a highly motivated team, the incredible global Responsible Leaders Network, and our permanent drive for change and improvement."
