About Clara Polina Vogt
Clara Polina Vogt has been a trainee with the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt since March 2019. As part of a Foundation-wide trainee program, she has worked in different areas of the organization and also gotten to know the work of other foundations.
Before the traineeship, Clara had difficulty staying in one place for more than four months. She studied law, anthropology, and performing arts in Utrecht and Rabat and subsequently completed an Erasmus Mundus master’s degree on the topic of migration and mediation in the Mediterranean in Barcelona, Venice, Meknes, and Montpellier. Returning to her native Berlin, she worked in the Refugee and Migration Coordination Staff of the Federal Foreign Office, where she learned how to discuss and address politically controversial topics in a diplomatic way. In addition, she worked in the field of funding climate protection projects, where she acquired her love for detail, which is necessary for the writing and editing of project applications.
During her studies, Clara organized seminars on behalf of the educational organization United World Colleges. Coordinating these formats, she was responsible for all aspects, from developing the overarching goals to planning the travel logistics. Then as now, Clara is fascinated by how people encourage and inspire each other and together drive change.
To balance the brain work, Clara practices a lot of yoga, happily and sometimes reluctantly. She is part of a wonderful, growing Berlin-based patchwork family.
